Pitbull Keeps Playing
Billionaire Tilman Fertitta surprises Landry's Inc. leadership with Pitbull concert in Vegas
There's always a surprise when Landry's Inc. CEO Tilman Fertitta chairs his leadership conference at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Over the years, he has had such notables as former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
But it was a knock-your-socks-off surprise Wednesday night for the 800 company executives and managers when hip hop star Pitbull, "Mr. Worldwide," took the stage in the casino's Grand Event Center. (This followed Pitbull's performance at Galveston's San Luis Salute on Friday night.)
Among the familiar faces rocking to Pitbull hits were gents you want to know including La Griglia GM Brandon Busch, San Luis Resort GM Paul Schultz, Vic & Anthony GM David Orchard, Willie G's GM George Kanaan, executive vice president and general counsel Steve Scheinthal, and the guy that puts it all together Richard Flowers of The Events Co.
The performance was one of Pitbull’s last stops before he heads to Los Angeles to take the stage at this weekend's Grammy Awards.
Providing a more cerebral moment at the conference was guest speaker Pulitzer Prize winning author and investigative reporter Bob Woodward, who spoke on the upcoming presidential election and his take on several past presidents.
