East Coast sandwich and hoagie haven opens 2nd Houston-area restaurant on Washington Avenue

PrimoHoagies has opened on Washington Avenue.
A New Jersey-based sandwich shop has arrived in Houston. PrimoHoagies opened last week at 4015 Washington Ave.
Known for its use of meat and cheeses from New Jersey-based purveyor Thumann’s and seeded rolls that are baked on-site, PrimoHoagies serves a range of Italian-American-style hot and cold hoagies (subs) as well as cheesesteaks. Sandwiches can be topped with different sauces, dressings, and vegetables, including sweet or hot peppers.
In addition to sandwiches, PrimoHoagies also offers wraps and bowls. Sides and desserts round out the menu.
The 1,800-square-foot restaurant offers customers the options of dine-in, to-go, and delivery via third party apps. The Houston location joins one in Montgomery, Texas, but it’s primarily an East Coast-based entity with restaurants in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
"Our expansion into Texas is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and we are proud to be opening our second location in the state”, PrimoHoagies CEO Nicholas Papanier Jr. said in a statement. “We look forward to bringing our authentic Philadelphia-style hoagies to even more people in the Lone Star State.”
