Houston bar roll call: Blue Moose, Fox Hollow & a Texans watching spot are newneighbors
It's that time again. Step out of your usual spots and try one of these three bars this weekend, or try all three — they're neighbors.
Fox Hollow opened Wednesday just off the Washington Corridor. Escape the hordes for a cocktail lounge with vintage unis, stained glass windows, Parisian doors and antique glassware. Try organic cocktails and munchables like the SLT — spinach, lettuce and tomato (and feta and lemon-pine nut aioli).
Also on Washington is the new Blue Moose Lodge, which has a Texas-themed, misplaced ski lodge atmosphere with live music (probably country), comfort food and a rent-able private party room dubbed The Den.
Ruining our animal theme is yet another Washington addition — 360 Sports Lounge. The upscale sports bar fulfills a need that we didn't want fulfilled by Buffalo Wild Wings with plenty of screens and a kitchen open every day til' 2 a.m.
It's been open since August, but given the Texans' new restricted tailgating policy, we figured it might be a good spot to catch the Giants game.
