New Blue Bell Flavor
Blue Bell gets back to basics with new ice cream flavor — and it's a classic
What's problem that can't be solved with a scoop — or two — of Blue Bell? For its newest flavor, in stores now, the little creamery in Brenham decided to go back to basics, with Chocolate Peanut Butter, described as a "rich, chocolate ice cream with a creamy peanut butter swirl."
Blue Bell has mixed chocolate and peanut butter flavors before — one example is Tin Roof, vanilla ice cream with a fudge swirl and chocolate-covered peanuts — but nothing this simple.
"There is no fancy gimmick to this flavor," said Blue Bell CEO and president Paul Kruse said.
"There is no fancy gimmick to this flavor," Blue Bell CEO and president Paul Kruse said in a statement. "It's plain and simple creamy peanut butter surrounded by an equally creamy chocolate ice cream."
"When we created this flavor it could have gone two ways. You could either make it like we did or with chocolate peanut butter cups in the ice cream. We liked the idea of swirling the peanut butter because it mixes so smoothly with our ice cream."
In addition to the newest flavor, Blue Bell is reintroducing Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream, described as a "rich cheesecake ice cream loaded with cheesecake pieces and a flavorful blueberry swirl," and is rotating in popular flavors like Birthday Cake, Butter Crunch, Dessert Trio, Krazy Kookie Dough, Red Velvet Cake, Rockslide Brownie and Southern Blackberry Cobbler for fall.
