Las Vegas celebrity chef's new Houston restaurant takes shape: Craft beer hotspot gets a name
Bradley Ogden's new restaurant in Gateway Memorial City finally has a name. The James Beard Award winner revealed Tuesday that he's opening a gastropub called Ogden's Hops & Harvest in the new development at Gessner and I-10.
As with the Hops & Harvest that Ogden opened in Las Vegas earlier this year, the menu will draw from a farm to table concept that utilizes seasonal ingredients. Highlights include a wood-grilled steak burger, organic turkey chop and butterscotch pudding. As part of an extensive selection of beer, wine and cocktails, there will be a "special focus" on Texas and Houston craft brewers.

“We look forward to joining Houston’s vibrant culinary community and the roster of energetic dining options at Memorial City,” Ogden's son and business partner Bryan Ogden said in a statement. “My dad and I are excited to really become a part of this great city’s food scene as we grow our footprint here.”
As CultureMap first reported in January, the new restaurant is one of several projects in Houston that Ogden Hospitality is expected to open this fall. Funky Chicken and Bradley's Fine Diner are planned in a new Heights Boulevard shopping center just below I-10.
Hops & Harvest's addition to Gateway Memorial City makes it an even more intriguing destination for Houston's dining enthusiasts. Vallone's, a steakhouse from Tony's chef Grant Gordon and general manager Scott Sulma, and a new location of Churrascos have already announced plans to open there.
“We are excited to welcome Ogden’s Hops & Harvest to Gateway Memorial City,” Steve Nisenson, director of marketing at MetroNational, said in a statement. “Their restaurant will complement the other unique offerings in the center and will bring even more guests into this new, thriving food scene.”
