Dine out. Do good.
Houston's hottest restaurants serve up exciting dining event to feed local kids
The popular Taste of the Nation, the annual charity dining event dedicated to eradicating childhood hunger, is pulling out all the stops for this year's event on May 22 at Silver Street Studios. The party allows guests to sample light bites and cocktails while chatting with some of the city's favorite chefs.
All of the proceeds go to No Kid Hungry, a national organization that helps feed children in cities across the country. In addition to an all-star restaurant lineup, there will be debuts of new Houston dining spots and the addition of a cocktail component to the event.
Chefs Adam Garcia and Felipe Riccio will premiere Goodnight Hospitality’s Rosie Cannonball, slated to open this year. And diners who haven't sampled the newly opened Tropicales can check out the restaurant's creations from pastry chef Jillian Bartolome. Alba Huerta, the award-winning mixologist behind Julep, will host the event’s first Cocktail Apothecary where Houston’s best mixologists will create custom cocktails.
