Lively Austin sports bar and wings restaurant flies into Stafford
Dr Pepper wings and Holy Macaroni arrive in Stafford this month. Pluckers Wing Bar will open its fifth Houston-area location at The Grid, the mixed-use development in Stafford that's already home to restaurants such as In-N-Out Burger and Whiskey Cake, on Monday, January 27.
While every new Pluckers is special — particularly for Austin transplants who discovered the restaurant in college — this new location will be the company's 25th. That's just in time for the restaurant's 25th anniversary.
Credit for that success goes to Pluckers' creative sauces that run the gamut from Maple Chipotle and Spicy Lemon Pepper to Peach Tree Sriracha and Garlic Parmesan. Other menu staples include fried pickles, stuffed jalapeños, and decadent burgers. Combine those dishes with a lively atmosphere and plenty of TVs for watching a game, and it's easy to understand why ESPN once named it one of the country's top sports bar.
Truly devoted Pluckers fans can join the Pluckers club. A $20 membership brings a host of perks, including rewards for every dollar spent, free food on a member's birthday, and more.
“We are filled with excitement to be opening our 25th restaurant in the city that has proved to be one of our most successful markets!” Pluckers co-founder Dave Paul said in a statement. “This year, we celebrate our 25th year anniversary, and we could not have done it without all the love from our fellow Houstonians!”
The new Pluckers is located at 12469 Southwest Frwy. Hours will be announced closer to the opening date.
