Living like an oil king: New Energy Corridor apartment complex goes way upscale with special features
The high-wattage Energy Corridor is continuing its blazing growth with the opening of The Grove at Wilcrest, a four-story luxury apartment complex catering to employees of the area’s oil and gas companies.
Even though parts of the complex are still under construction, residents are already moving into the one-and-two-bedroom apartments. The Finger Companies developed the 360-multifamily unit complex, adding a host of high-end amenities to construction.
Think CityCentre, but heavier on pedestrian travel plus lots of trees and other greenery.
The Grove at Wilcrest features 11 floor plans ranging from 713-square-feet to just over 1,400-square-feet and every kitchen comes with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a wine cooler. Three pools, including a heated lap pool, a fitness center and complimentary Wi-Fi in common areas are among the upscale touches demanded by potential renters.
With the plan to completely transform the ExxonMobil Chemical Co. complex just south of south of Interstate 10 into a vibrant mixed-use development over the next 10 years, the opening of The Grove at Wilcrest sets the tone for the office buildings, shops, restaurants and hotels that will come in the future. Think CityCentre, but heavier on pedestrian travel plus lots of trees and other greenery.
The Finger Companies comes with its own trendsetting, luxury reputation. It's also behind One Park Place by Discovery Green and the 2900 West Dallas complex.
