Popular Houston fitness studio expands to Austin with core truths for body and mind
A wildly popular workout studio is planting roots in Austin. Define Body & Mind, a Houston-based fitness center, just opened its first location in the capital city.
"We’ve been looking at opening a Define [location] in Austin for over three years. Austin is the perfect city for a Define because it's a lifestyle city that thrives on the same pillars of Define — physical activity, food, music and fun," Henry Richardson, co-owner of Define Body & Mind, says.
"We are so excited about our studio space in Austin because it gives us the opportunity to showcase all of our classes and programs that Austinites innately love."
The innovative, challenging courses — including barre, cycling and yoga — are designed to soothe the mind and sculpt enviable figures. "We believe that a combination of our three core class concepts produces the most effective and efficient results, including core strengthening, overall physical transformation, lengthening of the muscles, cardiovascular endurance and better bodies and minds," Richardson says.
"DEFINE body" is a results-oriented class combining Pilates, yoga, ballet and core strengthening to target the major muscle groups. "DEFINE mind" is a soothing, 60-minute class set to relaxing music, that helps melt away stress and relieve tightness. "DEFINE revolution" offers a 45-minute, cardio-blasting routine on a stationary bike.
In addition to the three main workouts, the new Define studio has more class offerings fit for the Austin lifestyle. The studio also offers a program dedicated to the importance of whole foods health.
For those who are weary of embracing a new physical routine, Richardson encourages students to try Define for a month and study how their body and mind evolve.
"We encourage clients to come to Define for 30 days. If you take class three times each week for 30 days, you will see and feel a total body and mind transformation," he says. "All of our classes are centered around the mission of producing results quickly while keeping the long-term health of the body as our main priority."
The new Define Body & Mind studio is located at 1818 W. 35th St. Define plans to open additional Austin locations by late 2015 or early 2016. To learn more or schedule a class, visit www.definebody.com.
