Reagan's fashion faves this month: matching sets and more.

Photo by Allison Ermon/Allison Ermon Photography

Editor’s note: We originally met entrepreneur Reagan Bregman in 2021 when we were the first to report the launch of her athleisure line, Exiza. Her brand quickly drew rave reviews for its ethical, sustainable practices, great fits for every body type, and effortlessly cool vibe.

Fast forward to 2023, and Reagan is a new mom to adorable baby Knox, still overseeing Exiza and its new line, a sought-after influencer and guest host, and a social media tastemaker. (Oh yeah, she’s also married to a nice gentleman named Alex who is really, really good at baseball, business, and paying it forward.)

With so many of her fans constantly asking and commenting on her fab finds, we’ve recruited this Houston star to spotlight some of her favorite things — and where to find them — each month. Take it away, Reagan!

Wow, August — and summer — have totally flown by. After spending the past three months being a mom to Knox, traveling to Alex’s away games, running a company, helping family, charity dodgeball games, and more, I’m beyond excited for the season ahead.

I love the feeling of fall rolling in and everything that comes with it. For me, that means finally switching from summer pieces to fall fashion. I’ve rounded up some of my faves this month.

We just celebrated Knox’s birthday, and I found the coolest local stationary shop for his first birthday invitations. And even though my little guy isn’t ready yet for back to school, I can't help but get caught up in all the fun looks!

Last month, I shared my favorite makeup to keep light and cool for hot summer months. This month, I found some great pieces for busy ladies on the go.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love my coffee and the occasional sweet treats. Check out my recs below!

    Fall fashion: Trends I love

When you’re constantly on the go and in a hurry — but still need to look your best — matching sets are a perfect fit. The best thing about these matching sets is how little thought you put into getting ready. I’m loving these styles for everyday options and event options, too.

Amanda Uprichard matching pieces and jumpsuits

This brand makes pieces for casual or a night out. I love the Porsha top and Porsha skort from Amanda Uprichard. The bold solids work well together for an elegant look.

I also love the Isadora jumpsuit: You can throw it on and still look great without staring at your closet forever. Love the vest-style ivory top! Find them both on Revolve.

    Zara: Co-ords and matching sets

I love Zara's Co-ords line for a quick, casual look for errands, meet-ups, date night, and more, There is no easier way to get dressed than with co-ords this season. The two piece outfits comes in different fabric and styles for all seasons, from big, comfy casual to more dressier tops, pants, and even capes.

Wear the matching pieces together for an instant monochrome look, or mix and match with your other pieces. I love these for travel or when I need to get dressed in a hurry.

The Emilea sheer knit top from Reformation

Show it off with simple elegance with the Emilea sheer knit top from Reformation. The sheer is perfect for these scorching August and September nights and you can layer for the AC once you're inside.

    Wide-leg cargos and parachute pants

I love shopping at Tootsies for all kinds of looks from casual to elegant and eveningwear. I'm in love with wide-legged cargo and baggy pants like these by A.L.C.

For a casual, throw-on look with no strings attached (actually, all the strings are attached!), check out these baggy drawstring parachute pants I found on Amazon.

Back to School: Outfit your little guy with Olive & Scout

I struggle to find great boys clothes and Olive & Scout is my absolute favorite right now. I love the matching sets! They make getting dressed in the mornings so easy. Our most worn right now is this Owen Set.

I also love this Smile print jogger set with the crazy melty emoji smiles and checkerboard prints!

    A backpack STATE of mind

Okay, my baby isn’t old enough for school yet, but I love all the back to school prep I'm seeing. I saw these cute backpacks from STATE bags. They have some great options for fall with prints like this super-cute dinosaur pattern.

Every little princess needs a cool backpack and your little girl is sure to shine with this metallic backpack. The fringe zipper pulls make it extra!

Fall makeup refresh - Amazon essentials

I can’t live without basics like these Paw Paw blenders from AOA Studios. If you’re still buying a $20 blender at the store, you have to replace it with these. They’re so soft and great quality and they’re under $10 for six of them. Don’t forget to wet it before use.

Need a brush refresh? Try these Jessup Makeup brushes in a 14-piece set — everything from foundation and blush to eye shadow.

You'll need a place to put all this stuff! I love this BAGSMART bag to store everything, whether I’m traveling — love the hanging hook — or staying home.

Some local faves: Cake, chocolate, coffee, and custom stationary

    Fermatas Coffee Beans

I love my coffee and totally love finding new beans and creamers when I'm brewing at home. I just discovered this local roastery on Instagram and I love their beans. I’ve been using my Breville Barista Express a ton with these Fermata beans and my favorite creamer: Oatmeal Cookie by Silk.

    Uncle Beans Coffee Shop

This is one of my all-time favorite local coffee shops in Houston (check them out on IG here). It has a great drive-thru when I'm on the go. And it's so quaint as a little outdoor hang out spot — perfect to take a friend or your dog as it cools down this fall. Their seasonal drink right now is a Fruity Pebbles latte.

    Winfields Chocolate Bar

I had Winfield’s at my pop-up shopping event with Julia Morales last month and I tried a lot of samples. They have some really amazing chocolate! They can also customize the chocolate too, which is so cute. I love their Go Texan! collection!

    Get Caked HTX

I love this creative local cake vendor. She created Knox’s first birthday day party cake and smash cake off just of a couple of inspo photos I sent her. She totally killed it!

    Honey Bespoke custom stationary

I wanted to something fun and unique for Knox's first birthday celebration. I also really wanted local vendors and shops, so I was thrilled when I found Honey Bespoke, a Houston-based custom stationary/paper goods shop. Founder Shirin Tippit is a former elementary school teacher, mom, and now a paper goods designer. I absolutely love the designs she created for Knox's Wild West!

Can't get enough of Reagan's favorite things? Follow her on Instagram.

    SPRING FLING

Houston Ballet's Spring Nutcracker Market returns with 150 vendors

Shoppers browse a fresh mix of spring-ready finds at Nutcracker Market Spring, where new vendors take center stage.

For those who thought Nutcracker Market was strictly a fall tradition, Houston Ballet is making a strong case for adding spring shopping dates April 17-19, to the calendar. Nutcracker Market Spring returns with a lighter, more edited version of the favorite holiday market, featuring 150 merchants instead of the massive 280 for its fall counterpart. Designed with spring and summer in mind, the market is focused on easy entertaining, vacation-ready style, and home updates – it's less about gifting and more about a seasonal refresh.

Watercolor artist and designer Taylor Paladino's products are always highly sought-after at the fall event, and he is excited to visit Houston for the spring crowds. "The Nutcracker Market is my Super Bowl. It is quite literally the biggest event on our calendar — and the most fun," Paladino tells CultureMap. "We love to see all of the friends we've made in Houston, and I can't wait to show them some of my newest collections."

    What's new

This is not a repeat of the fall lineup. More than 80 merchants who did not participate in the 2025 fall market and over 60 who are entirely new to Nutcracker Market will be on hand with their spring and summer favorites. The result will be a noticeably different and more relaxed experience.

Shoppers will get to explore several new brands, including:

    • Absorb-Lumen: Beautiful towels for everyday life.
    • Florida Pure Sea Salt: Natural sea salt for food and cocktail rims.
    • 1 Hide Bags: Chic custom bags and timeless leather belts.
    • Aaron Grey Co.: Southern-inspired, hand-drawn apparel and accessories.
    • Bora Handcrafted Jewelry: Oxidized sterling silver/gold jewelry with semi-precious stones.
    • Good Time Charlie Land Company: Joyful Jellycats and thoughtfully curated spring decor.
    • Mills Gourmet: Easy and delicious snacks, hours d'oeuvres, and more.
    • Novi Creations: Artisan bohemian jewelry inspired by the national parks.

    What to expect

For seasoned shoppers, the smaller size makes navigating NRG Arena easier, while the bevy of new merchants keeps it exciting. For first-timers, the market is a great introduction to one of Houston’s most anticipated shopping experiences, with all the charm and none of the overwhelming holiday frenzy.

Many of the same conveniences will still be available, including package check, curbside pickup, valet parking, and early-bird shopping. While strollers, carts, rolling bags, wagons, and pets are not permitted, children under two years old are free. Although the market will be smaller than its fall counterpart, comfortable shoes and clothing a must for navigating the aisles. Tailgating and mimosas always add to the fun, but taking breaks for water and snacks is highly encouraged to ensure a stress-free shopping experiences.

    Why it matters

The return of the spring market follows several years of rebuilding the fall event. “Pausing Nutcracker Market Spring in 2022 allowed us to focus fully on the beloved fall Nutcracker Market, building our audience back to pre-pandemic levels,” Sonja Kostich, executive director of Houston Ballet, tells CultureMap. “This momentum has given us the confidence to reintroduce Nutcracker Market Spring to Houston.”

This decision is supported by huge numbers from the 2025 fall market, which drew more than 104,000 shoppers and generated over $24 million in merchandise and ticket sales. The fall market raised more than $6 million in support of Houston Ballet’s productions, training programs, and community campaigns. Like its fall counterpart, the spring market continues that giving mission, with each purchase supporting the arts.

    Tickets

General admission is $20 for a one-day pass, available at Ticketmaster.com or H-E-B Business Centers. Early Bird Admission is $40 for those who want a 90-minute head start on Friday and admission to all three days of the market.
