Beyoncé sheds light on sacred Houston memories in new hair care line reveal
In true Beyoncé fashion, the global icon recently announced she is launching a new haircare product via an Instagram post. Sending her millions of followers into a tizzy, Queen Bey made the announcement with a reel that included pictures of her as a child and nostalgic moments in her mother's former Third Ward beauty salon, Headliners.
Beyoncé has often spoken about growing up in her mom's hair salon and learning from entrepreneurial women around her. In a 2021 Harper's Bazaar interview, she reminisced, saying, "Doctors, business owners, artists, teachers, mothers—they all came through my mom's salon. I saw firsthand how a salon can be a sanctuary for women. I vividly remember one client who was an opera singer. She was this regal Black woman who had traveled all around the world and would tell these incredible stories. I loved to hear about her travels and decided one day I would travel around the world too."

Her hair journey has come full circle as she drops her first line of hair care products on February 20. The line is called Cécred (pronounced sacred), and in a marketing email sent to fans, Beyoncé says, "It has always been a dream of mine to create a hair care line. That's why I'm so proud to share Cécred, which celebrates and honors the wisdom in our hair. I'm excited that you are now part of this community and can help build an intimate and powerful space where we can share our journeys and our hair secrets and protect all things sacred."
Beyoncé began dropping clues about her new line in May 2023 with an Instagram post of her in front of a vanity mirror with unlabeled bottles around her. The photo was followed by a note saying, "I can't wait for you to experience what I've been creating." At that point, fans began speculating about a hair care line.

There are no details yet about what products will be in the Cécred collection, and a visit to the website offers no clues. Only the words "science" and "ritual" appear on the homepage, along with a prompt to sign up for emails to stay updated on the brand's latest news.
Although the Cécred announcement has the Beyhive buzzing, it isn't her first foray into the beauty world. The superstar has launched several perfumes; her most recent was Cé Noir in November 2023.
Those wanting to get their hands on the first drop of Cécred should be ready to click "add to cart" because, just like everything else Beyoncé creates, the haircare line will likely sell out in seconds.
