Red Sole Invasion
Christian Louboutin paints The Galleria red with new luxe store: Get a load of those sneakers!
Christian Louboutin’s red-sole invasion has officially touched down at The Galleria.
The store is everything you’d expect from the luxe French designer. Shiny lacquer mixes with lush carpets and carefully placed lighting gives every shoe and bag its own moment to shine.
Louboutin worked with the New York-based architecture firm 212box to create a space that spoke to both men and women, addressing their shopping needs and aesthetics.
The 2,259 square-foot space is awash in color, ranging from purple, black, gold, gray and of course, a certain signature red hue. Women’s shoes peek playfully from backlit shelving and handbags are artful displayed throughout.
The space designed for men’s shoes and accessories is equally as thoughtful. Louboutin’s Henri on Fire collection stands out among the moody gray and black scheme, and while loafers have their moment, the selection of sneakers steal the show. Color-blocked suede, spikes, Swarovski crystals, high tops, low tops and slide-in Roller Boat Flat sneakers are impossible to imagine on the basketball court, but are definite stand-outs for more fashionable occasions.
The new store sits in the well-appointed stretch of high-end retailers in the Galleria (between Max Mara and Miu Miu) and also carries offerings from the Christian Louboutin Beaute collection.
