Dress Me Up, Dress Me Down
Beyoncé channels Sasha Fierce (again) in racy new House of Deréon ads
Looks like Beyoncé's "Sasha Fierce" side is coming out again.
The superstar with a split personality in her professional life channels her naughty and nice sides in a new fall ad campaign for Deréon and House of Deréon, the clothing lines she designs with mom Tina Knowles.
For the edgier Deréon fall line, the singer is a heavily tattooed biker chick. She appears topless (viewed from the back) in black leggings marked with square silver studs, straddles a motorcycle in a one-shoulder mini-dress, spiky boots and tousled blonde hair, and writhes around on a bed and chair in a printed T-shirt, in a style reminiscent of the 1980s movie, Flashdance.
For the couture House of Deréon line, she channels 1940s screen sirens — with painted red lips and flowing red locks resembling Rita Hayworth's famous 'do — in glamour gowns and flowing dresses.
While some are noting that the singer looks like Rihanna in the ads, I think both campaigns seem dated and a little silly, although you can't blame a girl for wanting to play dress-up.
