A Craft-y Look
Miranda Lambert showcases Houston jewelry designer at CMT Awards
While hubby Blake Shelton was in a snit over a Houston Chronicle tweet about the departure of a Voice contestant, Miranda Lambert was showcasing the designs of a Houston jewelry designer at Wednesday night's CMT Awards.
Lambert chose a silver and black rhodium finish champagne diamond medallion necklace and silver with black rhodium finish black diamond wave bangle, both designed by Houstonian Lauren Craft. The jewelry accessorized the singer's dominatrix-inspired outfit that consisted of a super short black neoprene and mesh dress by Mystic with a leather waist corset cinched in by a tie.
Lambert was styled by Katy native Tiffany Gifford.
The necklace, which retails for $4,000, and bracelet, which sells for $7,000, are available at Sloan/Hall in Houston or online at www.laurencraft.com.
Lambert previously wore a pair of oversized ruby-colored tourmaline and diamond teardrop earrings created by Craft when she and Shelton performed a duet of "America the Beautiful" before the 2012 Super Super Bowl in Indianapolis.
Lambert and Florida Georgia Line were the night's top winners at the CMT Awards with two apiece.
Lambert won female video of the year for "Mama's Broken Heart" and CMT performance video of the year for "Over You," recorded during the 2012 "CMT Artist of the Year" broadcast.
"I just got a kiss from Lenny Kravitz," Lambert said as she took the stage for her second trophy. "That was an award in itself."
