The scoop: Tennessee Ott and Caroline Billipp welcomed a cool-looking group of Houstonians to the grand opening of Roberta Roller Rabbit’s first Houston store. Roberta Freymann, founder of the store that features colorful travel-inspired clothing, accessories and home goods, winged in for the evening, explaining the philosophy behind the brand and offering styling tips to shoppers.
The brand was inspired by a fable of a magical rabbit that Freymann found on a piece of discarded fabric in India. She launched her first store in 2003 with a bohemian collection of colorful hand-block printed kurtas. It has expanded wide array of exotic products for men, women and children, as well as accessories and home furnishings.
Guests enjoyed light bites from Songkran Thai Kitchen along with wine and champagne. A percentage of the evening’s sales benefited The Children’s Fund.
Who: Seen in the crowd were Lori Brown, Carson Miller, Trevor Thompson, Cable Jorgenson, Kristina Frankel, Ann Fordham, Maria Helm, Marlo Miller, Ghad Ali, Renate Ferraro, and Mary Cullen Lombardi.
