Immaculate Collection
Jason Wu's "immaculate" fall collection offers a relaxed vibe and a dash of fun
What:Jason Wu fall runway show.
Where: Spring Studios at New York Fashion Week.
The look: Wu used a single word to describe his collection — "immaculate" — and, while it's certainly tidy, it's never stuffy. Best known for designing first lady Michelle Obama's inauguration ball gowns in 2009 and 2013, the 33-year-old designer presented relaxed luxe looks for fall, with soft feathered cocktail dresses, windowpane check coats, floral print dresses and chic power suits with short hemlines.
It's an eclectic collection with a lot of options —slouchy off-the-shoulder sweaters, checked trousers, lace pencil skirts and V-neck sleeveless velvet tops — to mix and match depending on a woman's mood and where she plans to go.
Notable accessory: Detachable fur collars in neon yellow, burgundy and royal blue add a jolt of color and a dash of fun.
