SJP Collection
Sarah Jessica Parker's new shoe collection is headed to Houston; she's Dallas bound
Fans of Sex and the City, prepare to squeal in your stilettos: Sarah Jessica Parker’s exclusive new SJP Collection for Nordstrom launches Feb. 28 in 25 of the retailer's top stores, including The Galleria location.
“I’m a firm believer in quality and timelessness and have created this collection with the hopes that women will love wearing it for years to come,” Parker said.
The line — comprising shoes, handbags and a “Manhattan” trench coat Carrie Bradshaw would approve — is a collaboration between Parker and Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus. The star says the line is inspired by details of her childhood, design heroes and her favorite spots in New York.
“I’ve taken inspiration from things in my life such as the grosgrain ribbons I tied in my hair as a girl, to the flower accents from the Sex and the City wardrobe, to references to classic styles from the late ’70s and early ’80s,” she said in a release.
Parker will make a personal appearance in Dallas at the Nordstrom NorthPark store on March 9 to promote her new line. It is her only appearance in Texas, so Houston fans are out of luck unless they want to travel to Big D.
Colors — which SJP has often said are "the new neutrals” — figure prominently in the collection, ranging from spring favorites such as coral, mint, teal and pink to classic colors like purple, red and navy. The collection features 25 shoes of varying heel heights, all made in Italy. Prices range from $195 to $500.
SJP handbags are functional yet fashionable, including the “New Yorker” hobo shoulder bag, “Waverly” cross body and “Beekman” clutch, named after some of Parker’s favorite NYC spots. They retail from $245 to $375.
The “Manhattan” trench coat, which comes in neutral and navy, has an A-line fitted silhouette and skirting design that incorporates the signature blush color grosgrain detail, exclusive SJP buttons and a signature print lining. It retails for $495.
