Beyoncé in labor: When childbirth turns into a media feeding frenzy and there'sno celebrity escape
Is Beyoncé in labor right this instant?
Even such an intimate and personal thing as delivery — with its contractions, dilations, heaving and crowning — can't be hidden from prying eyes of adoring fans: Rumor has it that Houston's own Beyoncé Knowles could give birth to her baby girl at any moment.
According to a breathless MediaTakeOut.com, a high-profile patient "has booked HALF THE FLOOR of the . . . luxury Labor and Delivery Suite"" at St. Luke Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Two gossipy nurses told the celebrity rag site that nurses and security were alerted to expect a check-in late Tuesday, and the "entire HOSPITAL is buzzing about" it.
Though nothing has yet been confirmed, the (previously unclear) timing is about right. Beyoncé says in a clip from recently-released documentary Live at Roseland: Elements of 4 that she was six months pregnant while shooting the music video for"Countdown" in late September.
Plus, the same suite was allegedly booked by Bey and Jay-Z's friend and collaborator Alicia Keys for the birth of her son, Egypt, in October 2010.
