Gluten-free Gleek: Gwyneth Paltrow to teach country music stars the power ofGOOP
Gwyneth Paltrow is suddenly a lot more visible — as if she's popped out of her United Kingdom, gluten-free, vegan organic, free-trade kombucha emporium to check in with the world and say, "What's up?"
It's nice to see her, and it's likely to continue for the next several weeks as we brace ourselves for her singing debut in Country Song (which is supposedly quite good). Paltrow put down all her own vocals for the film, and doesn't seem to be resting her voice box any time soon.
There's already a music video for the title track, "Country Strong," making the rounds, with Gwynnie doing a remarkably good job with a song written by her husband, Coldplay's Chris Martin. She's set to perform said song at the Country Music Awards Nov. 10, as well as make an appearance on Glee as a love interest for Matt Morrison's caddish Mr. Schu. Paltrow plays a substitute teacher, and will perform several solos.
Paltrow denies she's got designs for a full-fledged music career, but we hope it lasts, if only to giggle at her interactions with the country music community.
Wonder what Miranda Lambert thinks of GOOP?
