Houston women can get pampered and Insta-famous at this fab pop-up event
It’s a burning social media question: What’s the easiest way to get Insta-famous? Buy followers? Stalk a celebrity? Do something insane and hope for the best?
To the rescue comes social media entrepreneur Erin Creeks, host and owner of lifestyle brand MsIndependent. Creeks’ fab #GirlsNightOutevent promises to bring the world of Insta fame to Houston women — regardless of follower count.
Now in its fourth year, the immersive exhibit, dubbed a “multi-sensory women’s extravaganza,” will feature every aspect of the social media influencer's experience, according to a release. Guests can expect hair and makeup touch-ups, craft cocktails, gourmet bites, edible art, and plenty of girl talk.
For super selfies, the event offers up makeup and ultimate backdrops, including a ’gramable café bursting with roses, a queen’s throne ideal for perfect poses, a high tea garden party, and more.
#GirlsNightOut pops up at the Post Oak Central Campus on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, with a special family day on Sunday, June 23. The family day, featuring the Rosé All Day Café, provides opportunities to pose on the runway and a chance to sit on a throne as queen for a day.
Several women-owned-and-operated vendors will also be on display: Switch2Pure, which provides beauty and skincare products; Waxing the City, offering head-to-toe waxing service for men and women; Sculpt MedSpa, a medical spa and microblading business; Onata Candles selling local luxury candles; and Made to Layer, which crafts handmade jewelry. Guests can also check out a display of high-end BMW models.
Ladies, consider this a cheap, easy, and sane way to glam up that 'gram.
