It’s summertime, which means there will be plenty of parks and outdoor spots in and around Houston that are prime locations for people to catch a free movie under the stars (when it’s decidedly cooler). Whether it’s date night or quality time with the fam, there’s something about getting some blankets, packing up a picnic basket, and catching a flick in the open air that’s just so...summery.

Here are 10 places that offer weekly, monthly or one-time outdoor screenings all through the summer.

The Square in Memorial City will have Friday night screenings of Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (June 8), A Wrinkle in Time (June 15), Power Rangers (June 22), and Peter Rabbit (June 29). It starts at 8 pm.
