Danielle Bradbery's wild day takes Voice: A chaotic high school return, an Astros anthem dream
Being 16 is hard enough, but Danielle Bradbery, the hometown semifinalist on The Voice, is sure making the most of a special year.
Bradbery came home to Cypress — and Cypress Ranch High School, where she's now regarded as a celebrity more than a classmate — to film a segment for the hit NBC show. When Bradbery arrived at the school Wednesday, the student body greeted her with music, cheers and autograph requests. A special pep rally was held in her honor where she was serenaded and she got to visit with old friends.
That night, The Voice's youngest competitor fulfilled a longtime dream at Minute Maid Park, belting out the National Anthem before the Houston Astros game. Bradbery was good luck too. The Astros ended up belting six home runs to beat the Baltimore Orioles 11-7.
