Mom is there for you 365 days a year. The least you can do is not blow it on the one day we set aside to recognize all the hard work she does. You're getting closer and closer to the deadline planning hour though (newsflash: Mother's Day is this Sunday).

The Brunch Bunch
- If your mom is the classic Southern type that likes a bit of gin in her lemonade, take her to Hearsay, with historic dazzle to go with a relaxed three-course brunch ($35) as well as their award-winning drinks.
- III Forks is a steakhouse with a traditional Southern gentility — a.k.a. your mom will love it. Especially with the special three-course brunch ($42.95) offering some of their specialties — Chateaubriand, Atlantic salmon, chocolate mousse and more.
- If you're an early riser, there's still a few openings at Hotel ZaZa's sumptuous Monarch for their over-the-top Mother's Day brunch buffet ($65 for adults, $20 for kids) featuring everything from traditional dishes like biscuits and gravy and French alongside an omelet station, a plethora of fresh salads and seafood and so much more.
- Del Frisco's will offer the jazz stylings of Yvonne Washington as well as a three-course brunch ($42.95) with plenty of deliciousness to choose from, plus their regular menu will be served all day.
- Nothing beats an Italian mama, and few thing can top Mother's Day brunch at Prego, offering three-course prix fixe ($40) including mouth-watering choices like beef carpaccio, crab fingers, a cinnamon-pecan waffle and Louisiana crawfish frittata.
- Big family? Large parties can find space at Trevisio, perched atop a six-story waterfall in the Medical Center, with an a la carte menu of Italian favorites.
- If brunch means dim sum, head to Cafe Chino, who we be serving a dim sum Mother's Day brunch for the first time — and there are just a few spots left, after 2 p.m.
- Reef is open especially for Mother's Day with an a la carte menu and $4 bloody marys and mimosas
- If mom still knows the latest trends before you do, head to sleek Valentino, where the three-course meal comes with bottomless mimosas and Prosecco.
- Give mom a culinary trip to the Mediterranean flavors at Arcodoro, with special menus items and free bellinis for mothers.
- Bistro Don Camillo is offering up three-courses of prix fixe French ($38) from Nice. Ooh la la!
- Quattro at the Four Seasons is offering up its annual Grand Holiday Buffet ($77) with a little bit of everything served with the signature Four Seasons flair.
-The Remington's buffet brunch ($70) at the St. Regis has something for everyone, with roses for moms, sparkling wine, entertainment, plus face painting and balloon animals for the kids.

- As YouTube has proven, nothing is more captivating than a laughing baby. Share some maternal love at the new movie Babies — out in theaters especially for Mother's Day.
- Stop by Tasti D-lite, and any mom gets a free cup or cone of the frozen treat. How sweet!
- On Saturday, the Highland Village Farmer's Market has plenty of special deals for mom-friendly gifts, from herbal flower arrangements by Cloud Stone Garden to sugar cookies from Sugar Shack. Plus the first 60 moms who visit will get a free orchid from Bruce Cameron and Orchid Obsession.
