Flaming piano pratfall: Lady Gaga's Toyota Center tumble goes global
Several days after a lauded April 8 performance at Houston's Toyota Center, photographs of Lady Gaga taking a mid-performance fall have surfaced. The plotz from the piano has captured the attention of tabloids world over, appearing in OK!, Huffington Post, TMZ and London's Mirror.
Various YouTube videos of the tumble are also receiving play.
The images reveal Gaga playing an ablaze piano's keys with her left heel while balancing herself on a makeshift piano bench with her other leg. Various paparazzi accounts say the slip induced gasps from the crowd and produced a loud "thud." If you were actually in the crowd that wasn't so obvious.
The guffaw was hidden from view from stage left, and CultureMap reporters at the concert noticed no break in cheering from the little monsters — nor a break in Gaga's pitch-perfect rendition of "You and I." Regardless of the Lady's slight fall from grace, how can we judge a performer playing the piano in knee-high black leather boots and a PVC bikini?
Proving that she's not a drag, but a queen, Gaga kept on with the show.
