School districts in the Houston area have announced they are closely monitoring and preparing ahead of the winter storm that's expected to bring freezing weather, ice, and dangerous road conditions to the Greater Houston and surrounding areas.

4. Houston hotel will celebrate the season with holiday pop-up bar. Omni Hotels is ringing in the holidays with an over-the-top cocktail experience that will debut at 27 hotels across the U.S., including one in Houston.
