Favorite Houston golf tournament tees off at Memorial Park with World Series trophy and Shooter McGavin
Golf fans, Astros fans, and sports movie fans are in luck, as a popular tourney kicks off this week. The Astros Golf Foundation willhost the 2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course from Thursday November 10 through Sunday, November 13.
Aside from some world-class golf play on the course, the tournament offers Astros fans a chance to fans to see and snap a photo with the Astros 2022 World Series Trophy during the four-day run.
Things tee off on Thursday, November 10 at 7 am, with players teeing off from hole 1 and hole 10 beginning at 6:50 am. Fans of the cult favorite Adam Sandler film Happy Gilmore can catch actor Christopher McDonald, who made the slimy character Shooter McGavin famous — and infamous — who will make an appearance at the Gallery Sports Tent on the 10th Green from 1 pm to 2 pm.

Not only will McDonald pose for photos and meet fans, he'll sign special Shooter McGavin Bobbleheads, which are free to the first 5,000 fans. He'll also sign pin flags, hats and other items from the retail tent, as well as custom, No. 1 Houston Open jerseys available for purchase.
Round two of play begins on Friday with gates opening at 7 am and players teeing off from holes 1 and 10 at 6:50 am. The first 5,000 fans will receive a cooling towel. Gates will close at 4 pm; Blackberry Smoke concert will perform as evening entertainment at 713 Music Hall (doors open at 6 pm). Purchase concert tickets online.
Round 3 starts Saturday with gates opening at 7 am and players teeing off from Hole 1 and Hole 10 at 7:50 am. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Cadence Bank Houston Open themed fanny pack.
Championship Sunday will begin with gates opening at 7 am on Sunday, with the final round starting at Holes 1 and 10 beginning at 7:50 am. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Golf Bag koozie.
A trophy ceremony for the winner will take place on the 18th Green following the final putt. Country singer Pat Green will perform a free concert on the driving range after the trophy ceremony.
