Pet of the Week
Meet Foxy, the marvelous Malinois mix, CultureMap's pet of the week

Name: Foxy, as in rapper Foxy Brown, and kick-butt '70s movie character Foxy Brown, played by Pam Grier. Same name, decades apart.
Birthdate: August 13, 2016. I'm in the prime of life, a little behind me, a lot ahead of me.
Ethnicity: I'm a cross between a German Shepherd and a Belgian Malinois. You know what the difference between those two breeds is? I've heard of a German Shepherd. (Pro tip: Do your research and find out if a high-energy Malinois is a right fit for you.)
Here's my deal. I'm a big'un, about 69 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal. (And a tip of the Hatlo Hat to wrestling legend Sputnik Monroe for that rhymer.)
I'm large, but a total sweetie. I'm friendly with grownups and kids. I love belly rubs and hanging out with the family. Bonus: I'm house trained. When you come to take me home, I'll be spayed, groomed, and checked out by a leading veterinarian.
As Ron Popeil says, wait there's more! Citizens for Animal Protection is having a deal Saturday, December 7, from 11 am to 6 pm — all adoptions of all animals are totally free, courtesy of West Houston Subaru.
Now for some breaking news: Thank you, President Trump for signing the PACT Act. PACT stands for Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture, and from now on, cruelty to animals is a federal crime punishable by fines and up to seven years in prison. About time, huh? And while you're at it, Mr. President, how about telling Don Jr. to stop killing big game animals in Africa? That's gross.
Come and get me: I'm available for adoption at 11 am Friday, December 6, at Citizens for Animal Protection (17555 Katy Freeway; 281-497-0591). Tell them, "Ken sent me."
