Pet of the Week
Meet London, the precious poodle and terrier mix, CultureMap's pet of the week

Name: London, as in torch singer Julie London, "London Bridge is Falling Down," Paul McCartney's album London Town, and London Broil steak. I would have included Joan Lunden, but she doesn't even know how to spell her own name.
Birthdate: September 11, 2017. I'm just entering the prime of life, and you know us small dogs, we live to, like, 100 ... in dog years.
Ethnicity: I'm a toy poodle and terrier and whatever. But ain't I a cutie? I weigh a petite 10 pounds. My previous owners brought me here because they couldn't give me the attention that I deserve. I a real girly-girl who loves children and other more domesticated animals.
I like car rides and cuddling with my family. I am afraid of water, so giving me a bath with be loads of fun. Like all the pooches here at Citizens for Animal Protection, I will be spayed and groomed and checked out by a vet before you take me home.
You like irony? Check out these headlines from the news: "Man Who Advocated Caning for Adultery Gets Caned for Adultery." I love that one. And, "Hunter Gored to Death By Deer He Thought He Had Shot and Killed."
You think Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson performs magic with a football? He's pretty tricky with fast food, too. Watson said eating Popeyes' chicken sandwiches last week was key to his terrific play in London. Popeyes chicken sandwiches were not available until Sunday, and there are no Popeyes franchised restaurants in England. Popeyes never shipped a sneak peek anything to me.
Come and get me: I'm available for adoption at 11 am Friday, November 8 at Citizens for Animal Protection (17555 Katy Freeway; 281-497-0591). Tell them, "Ken sent me."
