Ticked off man drives a bulldozer through his boss' office: Take this job andlevel it!
Surely you've experienced one of those days at the office before. You know, the kind where you've just had it up to here, to the point that you feel the urge to drive a bulldozer through the building? Luckily, most of us don't have ready access to that sort of heavy machinery.
Houston resident Lynn Benson, however, did.
As KHOU is reporting, Benson, a 52-year-old lot inspector at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, allegedly "waited for the business to close [on Monday], grabbed the keys to his bulldozer then drove the vehicle through his boss' front office."
The resulting damage — which wreaked havoc on the phones, fixtures, insulation and more — will set the company back $1.5 million. No one was hurt in the process.
"What caused his back to break? What caused that snap to go? We know he was under some pressure," Frank Wilson, vice president of operations for the auction house, told KHOU. "Obviously, I don't know enough about it. There's an ongoing investigation."
Police arrested Benson on the scene. He has been charged with felony criminal mischief, with a $50,000 bond.
