A school bus slammed into a tree Tuesday morning, sending 19 students and the bus driver to the hospital.
The Houston Fire Department said the bus driver lost control of the bus, hitting a tree along Briar Forest and Tanglewild. The bus is privately operated by Nancy’s Bus Service.
The children and the bus driver were placed on stretchers and transported to local hospitals following the 8 a.m. crash. KHOU reports that none of the injuries are life threatening and many are cuts and bruises.
The students involved in the crash were on the way to Paul Revere Middle School. The accident created significant traffic congestion in the Memorial area.
