Texas A&M, Rice are the only Texas schools to make most beautiful list
Having recently endured the straining college application process myself, I know that choosing the “right” school can be difficult. One factor that helped make the decision easier for me was a beautiful campus.
Who says you can't have brains and beauty?
The Best Colleges ranking website's new “50 most amazing college campuses” for 2013 certainly shows that's possible in a college. Elon University in North Carolina, where I happen to go, took the No. 1 overall spot.
But Texas wasn't shut out. Rice University and Texas A&M University both made the Top 50.
Best Colleges praises Rice's Byzantine style architecture and green space, but the university's No. 42 ranking still seems a little low. Being one of the "largest campuses in America at 5,200 acres" helped Texas A&M place 44th on the list.
