Imogen Heap releases a single to aid the hurting Buffalo Bayou Partnership
After much anticipation, the Imogen Heap single — recorded at her recent performance in Houston — is available for download, with the proceeds tagged for the Buffalo Bayou Partnership. In part because of its reputation for generous philanthropy, Houston has the largest fundraising goal of all of Heap's tour stops (her entire goal is $54,000).
The release couldn't be better timed, as Buffalo Bayou Partnership is still reeling from the burning vandalism of two of its boats.
Heap unexpectedly chose the Buffalo Bayou Partnership as the beneficiary for the Houston download back in June — long before the boat burning — after a simple e-mail from the non-profit's director of development Jennifer Gaines. If you're ready to hear the improv bird-chirping tune yourself — and assist the Buffalo Bayou Partnership — visit Heap's charity website.
