Avengers star has a night out on the town with burlesque dancers at hot Houston club
Jeremy Renner sure had a busy Memorial Day weekend in Houston. In town as the star attraction at Comicpalooza, the star of the hit movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, drew long lines of fans, who waited patiently for an autograph and to pose for photos at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Renner is a fanboy fave because he plays superhero Hawkeye in the blockbuster film.
On Saturday night, Renner stopped by the bar at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Houston and found himself in the middle of a wedding reception. Some guests said he was standoffish, but he told TMZ that he was keeping a low profile because he didn't want to upstage the newlyweds.
"I did enjoy conversations with many of the guests for about 15 minutes and went off to enjoy the sights of Houston for the night," he said.
Among those sights was a late night performance by The Moonlight Dolls at Prohibition, the hot downtown supper club/bar. Renner was with a small group of around five people who sat upstairs during the bawdy burlesque show that features singers, fire dancers, aerialists, belly dancers and other unique performers.
"He was very low key and no one knew he was even there," one source says.
A staffer recognized the actor, who graciously posed for a photograph with the show's cast and crew, several of whom posted it on their Facebook pages.
Fortunately for Renner, he left town before the heavy rains hit Monday night.
