Still Searching for Max
One half of a happy ending: Dognapping case sees one of the pooches recovered
Meyerland resident Karen Fisher has received great news: Haley, a 12-year-old Miniature Schnauzer dognapped in a robbery has been found.
The Fisher home was broken into just before spring break. Material goods were stolen in the robbery, but most distressing was the absence of the family's two dogs, Haley and Max. They appeared to be just the most recent victims in a rash of Houston area dognappings.
Haley's return was a chance recovery by Houston resident Christine Grant, who found the pup near Christy's Donuts on the corner of West Gray and Montrose.
Though 5-year-old Maltese, Max, remains missing, Haley's recovery gives the family hope. The Fishers have created a flyer and are offering a monetary reward for Max's safe return.
