Pethouse Pet of the Week
Pet of the week: Hamilton the dog is frisky, fun, and full of music trivia
Pethouse Pet of the Week
Name: Hamilton. This is one of those names that could be a first name or last name. First: Hamilton Jordan and Perry Mason's nemesis, Hamilton Burger. Last: Linda Hamilton, Josh Hamilton, Richard Hamilton, George Hamilton, and, of course, the toast of Broadway: Alexander Hamilton.
Birthdate: 1-24-2013. You're lucky. My birthday just passed, so you don't have to buy me a gift.
Ethnicity: I'm a Terrier something or other, mostly Terrier. I'm small, I weigh a trim 10 pounds, and I've kept this weight. I can still fit into my collar from obedience school. I'm not on the elevator, up and down, like Marie Osmond. (I think she does it just so she can do those TV diet ads.)
I'm a frisky little fella, in the prime of my life. But mostly, I'm good for lying on the couch next to you. I'll even let you hold the remote because that's the kind of guy I am.
Come and get me: I'm available for adoption at 11 am Friday, February 2 at Citizens for Animal Protection (17555 Katy Freeway; 281-497-0591). Tell them, "Ken sent me."
Hamilton's just thinkin': Snack industry experts are saying that Americans will consume 1.35 billion chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday. No wonder chickens can't fly.
Trivia of the day: The Grammy Awards were on Sunday, January 28. I still can't believe that Jay-Z got nothing. Can you name the male artist, female artist, and group who have won the most Grammy Awards in history?
Answer: George Solti (late music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra) won 31 Grammys. Country star Alison Krauss has 27 Grammys, and Irish rockers U2 have 22 Grammys.
