The Houston Auto Show [https: /www.click2houston.com/news/houston-auto-show-opens-to-public/30847040]is back at NRG Center, and it runs through this weekend. We checked out the latest and most significant cars and trucks on display so you know what not to miss. CultureMap was given access to the darkened Reliant Center late at night to take some experimental long-exposure photography and try to capture the energy of the most photogenic new vehicles. Two stunning cars parked beside each other were this Porsche 918 Spyder and the Lamborghini Huracan [https://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117426]. The 918 is Porsche's contender for the "Hypercar" crown — the new breed of 850-plus hp hybrid supercars. It uses batteries to supplement a 4.6 liter V8, and can drive electric-only for 12 miles, and achieve an EPA 67 MPGe highway overall — and reach 211 MPH flat out. Next to it sits the Lamborghini Huracan, the newest Lambo and the V10 replacement to the hugely-successful Gallardo.
