A few of Ron Paul's 4,000 babies — and their moms — talk about his bedsidemanner
During Dr. Ron Paul's long medical career, he delivered upwards of 4,000 babies in the Lake Jackson area. The Daily Beast tracked down some of them and their moms to see where they stand on his quest for the presidency.
The website found several of the children he brought into the world, who are now in their late 30s and 40s, are ambivalent about his campaign, although there are some strong supporters.
“You went in and you got an education on the gold standard,” recalled one former patient whose child he delivered. "That's what he talked about when you were on the table."

True to his beliefs, Paul refused to accept Medicare and Medicaid payments. Instead he provided free services to expectant mothers in need.
And another thing one former patient noted: Paul was the only resident in town with a backyard swimming pool.
