Paige Fertitta hosts holiday trunk show for courageous and artsy kids
What: Children’s Art Project trunk show, hosted by Paige Fertitta
Where: The Fertitta home
The scoop: Custom holiday cards, designer Radko ornaments, and other holiday gifts were on display at the Fertitta home for MD Anderson’s Children’s Art Project Trunk Show. The sale, hosted by Paige Fertitta, was the kick-off to the holiday season for the Children’s Art Project – an MD Anderson program that sells merchandise inspired by the artwork of children with cancer.
Invited guests enjoyed a delicious lunch buffet with an array of decadent desserts while they shopped for a variety of merchandise featuring artwork inspired by children being treated for cancer at MD Anderson.
Lara Amer, a ten-year old Burkitt lymphoma cancer survivor and artist, showcased products featuring her bluebonnet and butterflies art designs. The event raised more than $12,000, and all proceeds from the sale support patient programs at MD Anderson’s Children’s Cancer Hospital.
This is the 15th year that Fertitta has hosted a Children’s Art Project Holiday trunk show. Merchandise, including holiday cards, unique ornaments, and specialty gifts are available online in select retail stores, and at MD Anderson’s gift shops.
