Teen health clinic reaps benefits of engaging luncheon, raises more than $200,000
What: TheFoundation for Teen Health annual "Hope for the Future" luncheon.

The 411: Former Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and Phyllis Williams were honored with the Dr. Peggy Smith Award for Professional Excellence and the June and Virgil Waggoner Award for Volunteerism, respectively. Luncheon emcee Jan Carson interviewed the duo while Warner Roberts did honors encouraging guests to pony up for raffle tickets. Raffle co-chairs Annie Beck and Lauren Randle loved it.
Applause, applause for luncheon chair Zeina Fares, accompanied by her husband, Nijad Fares, and their daughter, Mia Fares.
Guest speaker Leandra DeWitt told of her young pregnancy and the help that the Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinic and the Centering Pregnancy program provided her on her road to motherhood. The luncheon raised more than $200,000 for those programs.
