Glamorous young professionals dress up and party for a good cause at Jungle Book Gala

The scoop: A young and fun black-tie crowd came out to aid the efforts of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s Young Professionals Group (YPG). The former first lady's granddaughter Lizzie Andrews hosted the gala and enlisted her friends, family and foundation supporters to take part. More than 200 guests danced to the tunes of DJ JJ Essen and bid on silent auction items.
The evening brought in $55,000 to support the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation. The YPG group was founded in 2014 to engage young professionals in helping to solve Houston’s ongoing literacy crisis.
