Sweet sounds: Talented musicians show off in a doubleheader that ends at River Oaks Country Club
What: River Oaks Chamber Orchestra 10th anniversary celebration.
Where: The double-header began with a concert at the Church of St. John the Divine and concluded at River Oaks Country Club.
The 411: ROCO launched its milestone anniversary season with the performance at one end of River Oaks Boulevard, followed by a cocktail reception and dinner with musicians at the other end of the boulevard — River Oaks Country Club. Kit Gwin and Melissa Hobbs chaired the evening that saluted early ROCO supporter and founding board member Sharon Ley Lietzow.
"What a joy to honor one of the very first people to embrace all that ROCO could be 10 seasons ago," remarked orchestra founder Alecia Lawyer. "Sharon had such an impact on the founding of this organization and her graciousness colors all that we do today."
