Young professionals throw a tailgate party to support DePelchin Children’s Center
Football season is here, and you know what that means: It's time to tailgate.
DePelchin Children's Center and its young professionals group Friends of DePelchin hosted more than 100 guests at its Tailgate for Tots and Cornhole Tournament. The event, held at industrial-chic pub Cottonwood, began with brunch. The menu featured fare ranging from biscuits and gravy to chicken fried steak bites and fries, along with Bloody Mary's and mimosas.
A competitive cornhole tournament followed, with 16 teams competing. Team “The GOAT’s” came out on top, taking home a VIP rooftop bar experience at Rosemont as the grand prize.
Proceeds from the fundraiser, including proceeds raised via a wine pull and silent auction items, including Houston Texans tickets to a three-month membership to Equinox, benefit DePelchin Children’s Center, an accredited foster care and adoption agency, working to break the cycles of abuse and neglect for children and families in Texas.
DePelchin's YP group, Friends of DePelchin, supports the organization's mission through philanthropy, volunteerism, and raising awareness.
Enjoying the afternoon festivities were Megan Arnold, Andy Reif, Kimberly Weiser, Gabrielle Ranalli, Julie Vanhaverbeke, Andy Kousparis, Jessica Castanon, Alexandra Sherman, James Williams, Clarice Kahawai, Kenna Johnson, and Luke Reed.
