From homeless to Harvard, speaker mesmerizes Small Steps luncheon crowd with story of success

The 411: Author and inspirational speaker Liz Murraycaptivated the gathering of 380 with her triumph over homelessness and drug-addicted parents. Subject of the television film Homeless to Harvard, she spoke about love, forgiveness and the importance of making a difference in the world one person at a time. She challenged luncheon guests to become active in changing the lives of the economically-at risk students at Small Steps.
Lisa Malosky served as emcee and Lorie Herod, Elizabeth Hogan and Susan Light chaired the luncheon that earned $187,000.
