    Jul 18, 2017 | 10:00 am

Where to shop is back this month with some exciting new additions to the Houston shopping scene. The city is buzzing with new product launches and cutting edge collaborations waiting to be purchased just in time to cure those mid summer blues. Dust off your credit card and hit these new locations and updated spaces.

     Clinique + Jonathan Adler

The popular makeup line and everyone’s favorite home décor designer have teamed up on a unique makeup collection. Inspired by the bright colors and fun feelings of a vacation, the line features the iconic geometric patterns of Adler and the irresistibly bold colors of Clinique. Think vibrant lip colors and primers, chic eyeshadow color kits and luxe makeup brushes to update your makeup collection. Just like both brands, the line exudes luxury and playfulness that will make any wearer feel cutting edge and made over. Prices range between $20 and $89.50. Multiple locations, including Macy's, Nordstrom,

     Ted Baker

The British lifestyle brand has made its way into the newly renovated wing of The Galleria near Saks Fifth Avenue. Known for its modern sophistication, the brand's menswear, womenswear, accessories and travel lines are all available for a shopping splurge. Each new store location is designed in tribute of something unique to its host city. A nod to the Houston's expertise in the Space age is represented by light fixtures adorned with little astronauts and intergalactic wallpaper illuminated by celestial looking lights. You’ll be launching into a chicer world after an out-of-this-world shopping trip. 5085 Westheimer Road

     Dos Carolinas

The popular bespoke Guayaberas brand has moved from a tiny space in Avalon Center to a much larger storefront on River Oaks Boulevard next to Abiento and Mariquita Masterson. The location is decked out with racks and racks of the classic, Latin flavored shirt designs for men, women and children made from cool natural fabrics ready to be monogrammed and taken home. A large display of fabrics and threads await shoppers to design their own shirts from scratch with attention to every detail from pin tucks to pockets. 2503 River Oaks Boulevard

     Abejas Upcycled

The West University womenswear shop with a giant following known for its effortlessly cool garb has launched a consignment concept of sorts. Shoppers can bring their gently loved past Abejas purchases back to be consigned on Abejas Upcylced. With items like Golden Goose sneakers for a third of the price and barely worn leather leggings and dresses by Raquel Allegra and Humanoid on sale you can get some serious cool while not breaking the bank. It will keep you coming back for more. 2517 South Boulevard

     Saint Cloud River Oaks

As the owner of women’s boutique Brooke Feather in the River Oaks Shopping Center decided to step back and take time for her family, Saint Cloud owner Jessica Rodriguez and creative director Cecilia Marquez transformed the space into its second location. The Rice Village Saint Cloud store boasts whimsical and stand out clothing and accessories and architecturally inspired artisanal home goods. Taking major influence from the west coast, low key chic feel of its previous tenant, the new shop is a perfect combination of Brooke Feather and St. Cloud aesthetic, with such new labels as o include new labels such as Ulla Johnson, Ampersand as Apostrophe, and Mother. This lovechild is already proving to be a big hit for shoppers in the area. 2020 W. Gray

     Sam Edelman

Shoe addicts can finally celebrate the coming of this go-to footwear brand to the new wing of The Galleria. With affordable prices and contemporary, stylish designs, the entire line is on display in a dedicated space. A little more shoe shopping never hurt anyone. 5085 Westheimer Road

     Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon Watch

The French luxury fashion house has launched its first smartwatch or "connected watch" as the brand calls it. Developed in partnership with Google and Android, the watch is similar in design to the classic shape of the Tambour line of analog watches that have been sold since 2002. The digital revamp comes with several face options that can be switched at the click of a button and of course many different leather bands. With fancy features like up to date flight info and a City Guide with curated lists of hotels, restaurants and hotspots, its like a concierge on your wrist. Prices start at $2,450. 5085 Westheimer Road

Chevignon’s Galleria boutique marks the brand’s first-ever store in the United States, launching its Texas-focused expansion plan.

Heritage denim brand Chevignon has arrived in Houston, introducing its cult-loved leather jackets and customizable jeans to a new boutique in the Galleria. Known for its rugged style, the French-born label is expanding its presence in the U.S. with a store designed to appeal to loyal brand aficionados and fashion-forward newcomers. The outpost is complete with an in-store Denim & Repair Shop offering complimentary tailoring and one-of-a-kind customization.

Located on the second level adjacent to the Westin Hotel, the new outpost is modeled after the brand's most successful stores in Bogotá and Medellín. At over 2,100 square feet, customers can expect a spacious and well-lit shopping experience. Light colored floors with handsome dark features lend themselves to the masculine energy of the store. The spacious fitting rooms, complete with lounge seating and oversized mirrors, make trying on the latest styles comfortable.

The brand was founded in 1979 by Guy Azoulay, who was obsessed with American fashion, in particular the leather aviator jacket. With decades of success in Latin America and a massive following in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, Chevignon is widely known for its leather jackets, down coats, and denim.

Comparable to Levi's or All Saints, a pair of jeans typically starts at around $130, while a leather jacket retails between $400 and $600. The brand offers denim, outerwear, footwear, and accessories with collections divided to focus 70 percent on menswear and the remaining 30 percent on women's styles.

Chevignon's expansion into the U.S. was three years in the making. With broadening brand recognition at the forefront, expansion plans include opening 10 additional boutiques by 2030 in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Fort Worth. These new stores will round out their portfolio to 102 brick-and-mortar stores, along with several partnerships in other large-format locations.

"When it came time to think about locations in Texas, Houston came to mind. We thought about the Houston rodeo, and we knew the city was right for the brand," Chevignon brand manager, Diego Alvarez Salazar, tells CultureMap. "We wanted to be part of the place where people were moving to and investing in, and that was in Texas."

One of the stand-out offerings at Chevignon is their Denim & Repair Shop. Customers who purchase denim are treated to complimentary, bespoke tailoring to ensure the best possible fit. The store also offers a wide selection of patches, pins, and accessories to completely customize leather and denim jackets, as well as jeans. While there is a cost for the accessories themselves, the complimentary customization services ensure a one-of-a-kind look for every customer.

"I always tell people that my first 'grown-up' pair of jeans was from Chevignon," says Bogotá-native, Luisa Babarczy. "Their denim is something that lasts forever. Now that they are here in Houston, I am so happy to be able to buy my daughter her first Chevignon denim jacket."
