Call it a good neighbor program, Hotel Icon's alliance with the Buffalo Bayou Partnership that involves the hotel's signature cowboy rubber ducky. Those cute little fellows were front and center at the hotel's Line & Lariat restaurant when BBP celebrated the joint effort.
Goal of the alliance is to support BBP initiatives, including trail and waterway enhancements, while raising awareness of the numerous bayou-related amenities that are available for hotel guests.
On this evening, partnership supporters and members of the young professionals group gathered to applaud the alliance and to sample the new Hyacinth cocktail (tequila, Shiner Ruby Redbird, agave syrup, lime juice, dash of jalepeno tincture and grapefruit garnish served in a champagne flute). Now through June 16, a portion of proceeds from sale of the cocktails will go to BBP. In addition, the hotel presented the non-profit with a check for $2,600, monies raised from recent sales of the adorable duckies that are available in guest rooms and at the front desk. Sales of those guy will continue to float into BBP coffers.
