Style comes naturally to quick change artist with a beauty pageant past — it's all about the shoes
When Nicole O'Brian Lassiter and her husband, James, received a last minute invitation to dine with friends at the hot new BLVD Place restaurant Peska, "I honestly threw my outfit together in 30 seconds," she recalls, "but I wanted to look springy with light colors."
Nicole, a former Miss Texas USA, a contestant on The Amazing Race, and owner of Bee Your Best pageant consultants, paired a pink Solace London crop top with an ivory Vivian Chan below-the-knee sheer skirt over shorts, both purchased at Revolve Clothing. She accessorized the look with a pair of Valentino crystal camo rock-studded pumps, a Cartier bracelet and Alexis Bittar bracelet and earrings from Neiman Marcus and a floral Alice + Olivia clutch from Shopbop.
"Because the top was a solid pink and my skirt was solid ivory, I used the colorful pattern of the shoes and handbag to pull the top and skirt together," she says.
"My style is pretty eclectic and I love to layer layer layer! Mixing and matching all of my separate pieces of clothing to make completely different outfits is fun for me. Normally I pick my shoes first and build an outfit around them."
