Boots, bling and eggs? This chicken gala takes playfulness to a new level
What:Camp for All's "Chicken Fried Gala."
Where: At the Hilton Americas-Houston.
The 411:Julie and Dr. David Brown led Camp for All supporters, all 775 of them, on a playful romp through the hotel ballroom that included a chicken laying an egg every time a $10,000 donation was made, a family-style dinner and loads of tempting auction items. "Boots and bling" attire made for colorful people-watching. By night's end, the benefit had raised more than $900,000. The evening honored Lisa O'Leary and Linn Energy for years of dedication to the camp that caters to special needs children and adults. The program included remarks by Elizabeth Deluca on her daughter Caroline's beneficial experiences at Camp for All.
