Minute Maid Park turns into a casino as Jewish young professionals party hard for a cause
What: The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston's Jerome Robinson Family Young Adult Division "Boots & Bets" casino night.
Where: In the Diamond Club at Minute Maid Park.
The 411: More than 300 young adults, dressed in Texas cocktail attire, tried their luck at blackjack, roulette and craps. Rather than winning cash, raffle tickets were the prizes that were then cashed in at a raffle held at night's end. Jenny Tavor Custom Catering provided the buffet of kosher Southern food and, at midnight, breakfast tacos. Proceeds benefit the Jewish Federation Annual Campaign, which supports Jewish groups in Houston, Israel and around the world. The event was chaired by Lindsy Steinberg and Marc Eichenbaum.
Who: Partygoers included Rachel Wright, Levi Strauss, Deborah and Kevin Metter, Aaron Ashton, Erin Finger Kaplan, Alexandra Yudelevich, Adriel Resh, Julie Rubenstein, Brad Wolf, Rachel Abbott, Stuart Blumberg, Amy Margolin and Isaac Malca.
