Bachelorette's Galveston Getaway
The Bachelorette and her fiance spread the love to Texas with romantic Galveston getaway
Kaitlyn Bristowe, the 30-year-old star of Season 11's The Bachelorette, and her 29-year-old fiancé, personal trainer Shawn Booth, took their romance to Galveston this week, heating things up in the coastal city.
The couple, who had their first date in Texas while filming the TV reality dating show, returned to the Lone Star state for some leisure time hitting up several of the island's standout restaurants including Rudy & Paco, Gaido’s, Shearn’s Seafood and Prime Steaks and Number 13, and snuggling up at luxe resort, The Villas at The San Luis Resort in a private, 800-square-foot residence-style suite boasting a private veranda with a hot tub, separate pool area, personal butler service and beachfront views.
Of course, no weekend in Galveston would be complete without a thrill ride on the Ferris wheel at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. And proving fame has its perks, according to museum president Larry Gregory, the twosome scored an aerial tour of the island in a historic T-41 Mescalero, a rare WWII Era airplane, while visiting the Lone Star Flight Museum.
Before departing Galveston, Bristowe and Booth made time for a private sunset cruise on Galveston Harbor, and, of course, a romantic, hand-in-hand walk on the beach. Bristowe took to Instagram posting the photo above of the pair with the caption, "Thank you Galveston for having us. Such a chill romantic getaway. @GalvestonIsland #LoveGalveston."
