Get a room - if you can
It's tough to find a hotel room in Houston this weekend, but here are somechoices
For those fans who're planning on trekking to Houston to see their teams in the NCAA men's Final Four championship this weekend, a bed may be harder to score than a ticket.
Many hotels near the Bracket Town action downtown and those near Reliant Stadium are sold out, and those with open rooms are jacking up prices and establishing minimum stays. Here's what a little searching uncovered:
Most hotels are instituting a four-night minimum, (not bad considering the games span three days, with two semifinal games on Saturday night and the championship game taking place Monday night), and upping the ante on room prices.
So, it's going to cost you for your slice of sports glory, but these establishments still have space for the snatching (all at the time of publication):
The Alden is not requiring minimum-length stays, but they have less than a dozen rooms available for $499 per night each.
Hotel Icon is requiring a minimum stay of four nights, beginning April 1, and has only superior king rooms available for $389 per night.
The Renaissance Greenway Plaza and the Holiday Inn at Reliant can be booked for four-night stays for $249 per night and $316 per night , respectively, through an NCAA-approved agency for fan lodgings, if you call 407-244-1247.
We recommend staying downtown near the fun at Discovery Green and hopping the MetroRail for games, if you're going.

Update: Hotel Sorella tells us they've still got rooms for Saturday night at $299 a pop — no minimum stay required.
